Lemon Cupcakes

Okay! We all know that the chef at these top bakeries will not just publish their "secret" recipe, instead they are all written up by food writer. *ahem*

Still, they are very delicious to eat! Probably not as good as what you can get at Hummingbird Bakery. =X

I can't wait to go London to visit the Hummingbird Bakery shops!

Carrot Cupcakes

Made these carrot cupcakes for my lovely old school friends!

I made a delicious cream cheese frosting for these cupcakes!

I shaped my sugarpaste into little carrots for the extra decoration to complete the look! ^_^ 

Blueberry Yogurt Tuiles

I'm learning how to make Tuiles. Basically, its a thin crisp sweet wafer cookie. Originally from France, 'tuile' means tile in French, and is named after the shape of French roof tile it is supposed to resemble.

I made mine in shape like a wafer cup.... topped some blueberry yogurt and blueberry compote that I made.

Voila...

Pretty good for the first try! ^_^ These Tuiles are really thin and have to be watched over carefully while in the oven or it will burn. While they are still warm right out of the oven, have to quickly shaped them... else if they cool, it cannot be shaped anymore or it will snap.

I love Tuiles! ^_^

Apple Strudel

A friend of mine craved for apple strudel like "corica" and wanted the "recipe". I didn't have one, but I used the elements that goes into the apple strudel. I made my own apple compote too! The result:



 Layers of crispy puff pastry, creme patissiere, and apple compote filling! Delicious!!!

Hummingbird Bakery Traditional Brownies

I love hummingbird bakery (London)! I've not been there before. It's my dream to try their cakes and yummy treats at Hummingbird bakery. Now, the closest I can get is to bake from their popular cookbook! Here's their Traditional Brownies:

It's rich, moist, dense and chewy yet soft at the same time! ^_^ I'm so excited christmas is just round the corner!

Gingerbread man

Few days ago, as I was walking along the shops, a little gingerbread man cookie cutter caught my eyes! I had to buy it... so today I am making gingerbread man cookies!

I had so much fun baking these...

My cookies~ Now I need to pipe faces for these cuties!

Aren't they perfect? ^_^ This gingerbread man's smile says it all!!!
