I love Okonomiyaki - お好み焼き.
It is a Japanese savoury pancake containing a variety of ingredients. The name is derived from the word okonomi, meaning "what you like" or "what you want", and yaki meaning "grilled" or "cooked".
This is how it looks like....
Okonomiyaki usually consist of chopped cabbage, thinly sliced pork, squid, prawns, green onions, dried bonito flakes etc. You could add whatever your favourite ingredient actually.
For my exam - Bread Category... I thought it would be nice to create a masterpiece of Okonomiyaki Bread!~
The birth of my Okonomiyaki Bread..
Ops, can't really tell what's in it from the picture. Don't have a clearer or closeup of it...
Inside is a generous filling of crabstick, prawn, chikuwa (japanese fishcake), cabbage, carrots, an egg.. topped with cheese, mayo, Japanese sauce, bonito flakes, and dried seaweed.
Reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally good! Taste like Okonomiyaki... :p~~
Enjoy!~~
Love,
Eileen
